Ethics Review at NUH

All research projects involving human subjects and conducted by/or under the direction of any employee of NUH; and all research conducted using property or facility of NUH will require ethics review. Such research proposals since 1st April 2004, are reviewed by the NHG Domain Specific Review Board (DSRB).

Institutional Review Board / NHG-DSRB
Ethics reviews at NUH are carried out by the NHG Domain Specific Review Board (DSRB). With effect from 1st February 2008, DSRB has implemented a B2BResearch Online system for the submission of new study applications. Applicants are encouraged to create their personal account and submit their studies for ethics review through this system.

· Deadline: the 1st of each month.

 

Hardcopy submission

If applicants encounter problems with online submission which cannot be resolved within a short period of time, hardcopy forms are still acceptable.

· Deadline: the 23rd of each month.

 

For hardcopy submissions, kindly prepare the following:-

1)   The application form (with all sections completed except section III)

Sponsored trials require 3 copies of the application form and a cheque for

S$ 535 for review fee (details here) made payable to:-

National Healthcare Group Pte. Ltd.

2) Soft copy (Floppy, CD or DVD) any format

3) Supporting documents (Reference Journals, CITI cert, CV etc.)

 

Kindly note that comments from your Department Representative & endorsement by Institution Representative must be obtained prior to submission for ethical review by DSRB.

Acceptable projects will be endorsed by OBR (Institution Representative) and forwarded to NHG-DSRB on researchers’ behalf.
